New comprehensive English translation of the Revelations of St. Bridget

Saint Birgitta, or in English-speaking lands more commonly called Saint Bridget of Sweden, was a woman who lived during the 1300s and who was renowned for her pious deeds and prolific revelations. She was a prophetess, a visionary, a pilgrim, a noblewoman, a mother of eight children and a founder of a religious order. She is Sweden's most well-known and most highly honored saint. During her lifetime she received what many believe to be divinely-inspired visions and messages. These visions were written down in 8 books titled "The Revelations". For the first time ever in history, the complete set of her Revelations is being translated by scholars into English and made accessible to the layperson. This new translation is being published in 4 volumes by Oxford University Press. The first two volumes are now available for purchase or borrowing. (ISBN 9780195166446, 9780195166262 ; OCLC 58843234) [Note for the faithful: these new volumes do not contain the Imprimatur.]
